The OSI Group’s Commitment To A Diversified Workforce Fosters Excellent Results

OSI Group was founded in 1909 as a family-owned Chicago meat market named Otto & Sons, USA. Moving down the timeline from being selected by McDonald’s to supply beef in 1955 to 1973 when they opened the first Otto & Sons in West Chicago. In the United States, Otto & Son’s renamed themselves OSI Industries in 1975 and OSI Industries went from national to international with its jump over to the European market by way of Germany in 1978 then onto Brazil in 1982. This dedication to expanding its brand is just as tireless today with OSI Europe’s 2017 acquisition of Hynek Schlachthof GmbH, a German beef company. Through the companies constant upward growth they never lost the important message for the health and well-being of their employees and the environment by winning a 2016 Globe of Honour from the British Safety Council. The safety and environmental measures were seen throughout this entire worldwide company.

Within the OSI Group, the innovations continue with its diverse and committed staff, recognizing good work and providing an entrepreneurial atmosphere.
