The Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame has recognized Kevin Seawright, the Executive Vice-president and CFO of the Newark Community Development Corporation (Newark CEDC), for his successful completion of course two of the Nonprofit Development Program. The second installment of the program for Transformational Nonprofit Leadership is focused on the Leadership of Nonprofit Boards. In this exclusive program, established business leaders are given the necessary tools to keep up with today’s competitive landscape in the not for profit sector. It examines the structure and efficient and effective running of a board, using a step-by-step approach to the refinement for long term success of a board. A special Certificate of Achievement was awarded to Kevin for excelling in his completion of the course.
Even before arriving at CEDC, Kevin had a distinguished 13 year track record of success as an accounting executive and capital management and operations specialist in both the public and private sectors, ranging up and down the east coast, most notably in the Baltimore and D.C. areas. Kevin has long believed in the importance of being actively involved in communities and public education, as well as in government, but now he’s more determined than ever before to bring a positive impact to communities in strengthening and empowering themselves.
