Sergey Petrossov is a 29-year-old businessman and JetSmarter founder who has made a name for himself in the world of business. It is not usual to find a 29-year old heading a billion-dollar company. Petrossov has demonstrated his entrepreneurship and business prowess as Founder and CEO of JetSmarter, an application that connects flyers with high profile private jet operators.
As a result of his accomplishments, he was featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 in Consumer Technology. He was also named the “Top Working Professional” in South Florida by the Sun-Sentinel. Apart from JetSmarter, he co-founded two IT projects which grew to become large enterprises. The projects include a platform for distance learning as well as an online chat system usually used for website customer service. Previously, he was the board advisor of a leading South Florida private jet operator which by then had the largest jet fleet.
In around 2009, he traveled on a private jet for the first time. During the booking process, his entrepreneurial instincts hit and he realized that he could do something about the cumbersome booking process. The brick-and-mortar jet booking process was not efficient and Sergey Petrossov knew a technological solution could solve the problem. He brought the idea to life. The Russian-born Floridian assembled a team of developers who had worked with him on previous projects and he used his own money to initiate the planning phase of the JetSmarter. The initial version of JetSmarter was released to selected users for testing.
In 2013, Sergey Petrossov, his partners and vendors came together to launch the app that is now changing the landscape of private aviation. Today, private aviation is relatively attainable as well as more efficient. Sergey Petrossov set his eyes on creating a global brand with hospitality-driven experience. His dream was made true by his team of professionals who boasts more than 100 years of combined experience.
