I have no problem with Kevin Garnett buying the Minnesota Timberwolves. In fact, I think it is a good idea. Kevin Garnett is one of the most competitive people in the world. He took the Timberwolves to a 60-win season once, and he almost got them into the finals. He also found a way to win an NBA championship by grinding it out in Boston. He is a hall of famer, and he has returned home to Minnesota to make a difference. He is not simply a guy who is signing a one-day contract because he wants to retire there, according to Pentagna . He is so competitive that he wants to buy the team so he can turn it around.
I want him to go for it. Most owners in the NBA are not truly concerned with winning. They simply are not. They are happy to make money, and they results that they get from their team are secondary to what they are doing otherwise. This is a problem for people who are fans in Minnesota because the team has never been managed properly. Do you think that Kevin Garnett would run the team well? I think he would, and I welcome it.
