Investing in Brazil – É boa pra caramba!

“É boa pra caramba” is a Brazilian saying that translates to “amazing” in English. It is probably the best way to comment on the gorgeous democracy of Brazil. The country may currently be in the spotlight for the upcoming 2016 Olympic games, but it really has so much more to offer. The country offers itself as an intelligent investment opportunity. The economy has been experiencing a 12 year growth and it has pushed its way to being in the top ten economic leaders. Brazil shows no signs of stopping this success any time soon.

Tourism may come to mind first, but actually Brazil’s terra firma offers many covetous natural resources. Right off the coast, the country has a wealth of oil found in numerous fields. It is also home to the world’s largest iron-ore mine and is the second largest producer of ethanol in the entire world. These resources offer a trade relationship with China and other major countries. However, the natural resources are only a part of where the country is advancing. Brazil has also become a leader on the technology front as well, moving to a global of information tech. The government heavily invests in research in the fields of science and agriculture. This is a country that looks forward to its bright future in the global economy.

 Zeca Oliveira was formerly the chief executive of the Brazilian branch of BNY Mellon, a wealth management company. Currently he serves as President of Bridge Trust,a financial group creating new opportunities in his homeland. Zeca is in charge of resource management and fund management. He has been quoted saying “We have experienced outstanding growth in Brazil over the last decade and the new license reinforces our plans to continue to grow and invest in the country…” This a strong, positive outlook and insight into the financial stability and future growth of his homeland.

There are so many reasons to invest in one of the most beautiful countries in the world. From the resources of the land itself to the mind of its citizens, there is unlimited potential to tap into. This powerhouse has climbed itself up to one of the most powerful economies in the world despite the odds and has been experiencing constant upward growth since 2003. With its booming economy, great prospects, and more liberal investment opportunities, it is a poor decision not to invest in beautiful Brazil.
