The Playboy Mansion has always been a place that just about any man in America wishes they could have visited at least once in their life. Unfortunately, it was generally only available to the famous, well to do or well connected. In fact, it has just been revealed that a few people, in addition to being famous, were literally “well connected” to the Playboy Mansion. Photos and blueprints of a tunnel system that ran from nearby celebrities homes to the mansion were uncovered. They mentioned tunnels going to the homes of Kirk Douglas, Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson and James Caan. They all lived near the Playboy Mansion at the time these tunnels were revealed to have been around. When asked to see the tunnels, reporters were told they were closed in 1989.
Haidar Barbouti knows that this may be a sign of a desperate attempt to get away from the prying eyes of a media that knows no bounds. Any of these celebs, and any friends who might be visiting, could visit the mansion without the whole world having to know. It is certainly hard to blame them in any way, shape or form. What man wouldn’t want a tunnel that led straight to the Playboy Mansion? Of all the stories to come out of that place over all the years, this one has to be the strangest and least expected. Additionally, it’s incredible that no mention of this had come out before now. So much for Benjamin Franklin’s refrain about the difficulty of cover-ups when he said “three can keep a secret if two of them are dead.”
