North Dakota native and world-renowned plastic surgeon, educator and lecturer, Dr Rod Rohrich is slated to participate in a number of conferences, meetings and symposia in 2018. They include the 35th annual Dallas Rhinoplasty Meeting, the 21st Annual Global Dallas Cosmetic Surgery and Medicine Meeting and the 52nd Annual Baker Gordon Educational Symposium. Recognized as an expert in plastic surgery, DrRohrich has been practicing medicine for over two decades. He is held in high esteem for his unique artistic skill in restoring youthfulness and definition to the faces and bodies of countless patients.
The meeting and symposia will include lectures, panel discussions, video demonstrations and even live surgery to share information on the latest developments in rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, body contouring and many other types of plastic surgery. One of America’s leading plastic surgeons, Dr Rod Rohrich will speak on and show examples of cosmetic surgery’s evolution, technical advances and elegant solutions as it relates to skin tightening, IPL, lasers, advances in skin care, vaginal rejuvenation, noninvasive fat removal, dermal fillers, body contouring, procedures for working on the face and breast, patient safety as well as ethical social marketing.
A board-certified physician and member of countless medical societies and associations, Dr Rod Rohrich has extensive training and experience. Since graduating from the University of North Dakota and North Dakota State University with undergraduate and postgraduates degrees and earning his medical degree at Baylor University’s College of Medicine, he went to the University of Michigan Medical Center where he did residencies in both general and plastic surgery. At Oxford University, he received advanced training in pediatric plastic surgery. DrRohrich next went to the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School and did his hand and microvascular fellowship.
In 1986, DrRohrich became a member of the Dallas, Texas-based UT Southwestern Medical Center’s Division of Plastic Surgery and became department chairman in 1991. He has done significant academic work in reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery. DrRohrich has written landmark papers on liposuction, nasal anatomy, concepts of rhinoplasty, facial fracture repair, injectable fillers and breast surgery. He helps to advance, regulate and promote plastic surgery through his active participation in the American Medical Association, American Board of Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons and many other organizations.
