Women and men all over the world have unwanted body hair. For women, unwanted hair on their legs, armpits, chin, upper lips and other places is a troubling beauty concern. For men, chest and back can be make being shirtless a nightmare. Both men and women are tired of shaving and waxing unwanted body hair, only for it to return some time later. Thankfully there is another way to deal with this crisis, a more permanent solution called laser hair removal. Laser hair removal works by using a machine that fires laser light energy. The laser light energy then targets hair follicles during their active growth phase.
It’s during this phase that hair is most vulnerable and doing destroys the follicle. The destruction of the follicle will prevent new hair from growing. For those that don’t want to permanently remove their hair, laser treatment can also be done to thin hair to make it easier to shave or wax. Previously, only those who were light skinned with dark hair were eligible to receive laser hair removal treatment. Thanks to new advancements in technology, any person of any skin color or hair color can receive laser hair treatment. Dr. Jennifer L.
