Dr. Rohrich presently works as Professor as well as chairman of department of plastic surgery at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas (UTSW), is the possessor of Crystal Charity Ball Distinguished Chair in Plastic Surgery, and holder of Betty and Warren Woodward Chair in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He has a notable degree in wound healing and plastic surgery. He also works as Chief Editor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the authorized medical journal purposed for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Rohrich is board accredited by American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Early Life and Education
Dr. Rohrich proceeded to attain his Bachelors of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine, also attaining high honors. Subsequent to general surgical treatment and plastic surgical procedure residencies at University of Michigan Medical Center, he advanced his education in pediatric plastic surgical treatment at Oxford University in England. Dr. Rohrich finished fellowship in hand as well micro-vascular at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He became part of the Division of Plastic Surgery in UT southwestern Medical Center based in Dallas in 1986.
Dr. Rohrich as Chairman
Once he accepted a plastic surgery appointment at UTSW College of Medicine in the year 1986, Dr. Rohrich replaced Dr. Fritz E.Barton, as the Chairman of Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1991.
