About Rod Rohrich

 

Rod J.Rohrich, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a well known plastic surgeon as well as chairman of the scholastic department, who has been acknowledged worldwide for his remarkable assistance in the specialization of plastic as well as reconstructive surgical treatment, education, and also his contribution and endeavor in facial makeover and aging.

Dr. Rohrich is board accredited by American Board of Plastic Surgery.

Early Life and Education

Dr. Rohrich was brought up on a farm land in rural North Dakota and finished his undergraduate as well as postgraduate education attaining uppermost honors at North Dakota State University as well as the University of North Dakota.

Dr. Rohrich proceeded to attain his Bachelors of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine, also attaining high honors. Subsequent to general surgical treatment and plastic surgical procedure residencies at University of Michigan Medical Center, he advanced his education in pediatric plastic surgical treatment at Oxford University in England. Dr. Rohrich finished fellowship in hand as well micro-vascular at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. He became part of the Division of Plastic Surgery in UT southwestern Medical Center based in Dallas in 1986.

Once he accepted a plastic surgery appointment at UTSW College of Medicine in the year 1986, Dr. Rohrich replaced Dr. Fritz E.Barton, as the Chairman of Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 1991.

The scholastic work of Rohrich has comprised of remarkable work in numerous areas of cosmetic as well as reconstructive plastic surgical treatment.
